About Me
- Favorite Medium: paintings
- Statement: My abstract paintings are done with watercolor and acrylic on paper and canvas. I am fascinated with surface and often use a variety of techniques such as collage, rubbing, blotting and stencilling to create complex overlays of color and texture. I get my ideas from the ornamental patterns of various cultures and from nature; places filled with flowers, the desert, and the ocean. I am especially fond of herons. They have a silent dignity and mystery that I find quite magical.
