About Me
- Favorite Medium: paintings
- Statement: Alejandro Bertolo studied Sumi-e and Nihonga painting with Japanese artists Tazuko Niimura, Funaki Sho and Hiroshi Yamamoto. He paints natural subjects, in particular endangered animals and plants. He uses Japanese hand made paper or silk, sumi,pigments, old eaf. His favorite format are the Japanese style Byobu (screens)that he designs and mounts entirely. He signs his works with the brush name: Boku-ma.
