What you should send to Artwork on View

1. Application Information

Provide the information requested by using the print or online form and return to AOV by email (preferred), fax or mail. If you dont use email, submit the requested text on a floppy disk (MS WORD ® or APPLE ® software). Hand written or typewritten text will be accepted.

2. Depictions of Your Artwork and Your Photograph (Optional)

Provide AOV, preferably by email, with eight (8) depictions typifying your artwork. The depictions need not be for sale. They will be employed by AOV to demonstrate the nature of your work for the viewing public, not as items you are offering for sale. Instead of an email, you may mail a CD(jpeg/gif) or color prints (not larger than 8 by 10 inches).

Provide the following information in connection with each depiction:
A Title:
B Medium:
C Dimensions (unframed):
D Description of the origin, background or inspiration for the work(optional)
E Description of any unique technique utilized or medium reflected in the work(optional)
Also send AOV a photograph of yourself which satisfies the same technical requirements as the eight depictions. The photograph is optional. If you provide it, AOV will exhibit the photograph along with your contact information and artist's statement.

What Artwork on View will do with your application

AOV will review your submission. If accepted, AOV will send you its written commitmet to exhibit your artwork for one year and will bill you $48.00. Your payment will be used to partially offset the cost of maintaining and promoting the website including the production of educational features by participating artists and others. The balance of AOV expenditures will be funded by public donations and foundation support.

When you respond to AOV and make your payment, AOV will prepare your web pages and exhibit them on the AOV website. Four(4) examples of your work (including the medium, title and dimensions of each work) together with contact information, your background and shows will be displayed.

While AOV exhibits your work, it will additionally announce and promote your current shows on its website. AOV charges no additional fee for this ongoing promotion and does not charge commission on the sale of any of your exhibited works.
