About Me

  • Favorite Medium: mixed media
  • Statement: I use large graphic elements, layered in the real space, which is the photo-based imagery that I shot on the street. Music is sound but I bring it into the image as a beautiful, graphic movement. Images and text have been hidden, but their shapes, with ambiguous meanings, remain. They offer so-called “Ambiguity.” I try to record my daily life, my experience with pop culture and mass media and capture some moments and bring these elements together as a language. Questioning myself, I ask how do they affect our personal life and human desire, social activity as well? But I also care about the process of working and the works in their various stages. I have been using all those materials to find what is artistic, aesthetic, about a work? Is a work of art essentially a body of concepts? I try to test the idea in an attempt to straighten out certain traditional activities generally regarded as aesthetic.
